Now Offering Telemedicine Visits! As of 3/17 I am offering telemedicine visits. These are covered by most insurance companies during the Covid-19 crisis. Please call your insurer to confirm. Home visits in Arlington, Cambridge, Medford, Belmont, Winchester, Lexington, Melrose, Malden, Woburn, Burlington, Somerville, Waltham, Watertown, Boston, and other communities in the greater Boston area. Visits are about two hours long. In a typical visit, we talk about your baby's birth, breastfeeding history, and any questions you might have about breastfeeding. I observe a feeding, and give support on latching, positioning, etc. Usually we will weigh the baby before and after the feed to get a good sense of intake. At the end of the visit, I write up a plan, with my suggestions and notes. I also include follow up support by phone or email. I am in-network with Aetna and Unicare GIC, and can bill these insurance companies directly. With other insurers, I provide a detailed coded receipt and have a biller who can submit on your behalf for reimbursement.
