- Jamie Owens is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2012 and a Registered Nurse specializing in Women's Health since 2008. Jamie has extensive experience working with breastfeeding mothers/families. She worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell in NYC as an RN on the Postpartum Unit for five and a half years and on the Labor and Delivery Unit for 2 years. She has been seeing patients privately in their homes for Lactation Consulting since 2012 and she started her private practice in Jersey City NJ in 2016 after giving birth to her daughter. In JC, she saw clients privately and taught Breastfeeding Workshops. She and her family moved to Denville NJ in April of 2017 where she has continued her lactation consulting practice and breastfeeding workshops. Jamie contributed as a "breastfeeding expert" and freelance writer for the website www.mother.ly. Jamie is also a lactation practitioner for the telehealth website/app Maven. Jamie has always had a passion for women's health and advocacy. After having her own children and breastfeeding for a total of 5.5 years, her love and dedication to breastfeeding has only gotten stronger. She is filled with energy and passion and will do whatever it takes to make her patients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.
