- WIC participants can get FREE lactation support from experienced moms and certified professionals. Our program connects you with Breastfeeding Peer Counselors who understand your journey, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) for personalized guidance on any breastfeeding challenges you face. These experts can answer your questions, address challenges, and help you reach your breastfeeding goals. This valuable support is exclusively available to WIC participants. Learn how to apply for WIC: https://www.nj.gov/health/fhs/wic/participants/apply-wic/ New Jersey WIC Services also provides supplemental nutritious foods to pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum individuals, infants, and children up to the age of five years old. WIC services include breastfeeding promotion and support, nutrition education and counseling, immunization screening, and health care referrals. Enrollment is open to all eligible applicants.
